Social Grant Amount Increases Effective April 2026
The South African government has confirmed increases to several social grants in the #Budget2026 announcement, with the new payment amounts coming into effect from April 2026. These adjustments are intended to provide relief to millions of beneficiaries affected by rising living costs and inflation.
The increases mainly affect permanent grants such as the Old Age Grant, Disability Grant, and Child Support Grant. However, the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant will remain unchanged.
