SRD SASSA Reconfirmation Process for 2026

There is a new regulation under which SASSA SRD beneficiaries have to reply to get the grant to make sure that they meet the criteria for receiving the SRD 350 grant from SASSA.

This also helps ensure that the beneficiaries meet the new criteria of having a monthly income of less than or equal to R 370 and not more than that to qualify for the grant.

This procedure, via which the SASSA agency confirms whether or not to continue giving the grant to the beneficiaries or not is called a reconfirmation procedure. Visit the official website of SRD.
Then you have to visit the South African ID holders section.
Now scroll down until you see “Reconsideration Status Check.”
Click on the bar that says “Click here to check reconsideration status.”
Now enter your ID number and your mobile number.
Click on send SMS.
You will receive a one-time PIN OTP via SMS on the mobile number you have provided.
Now you have to insert the pin and click on the “Verify” button.
Now follow the instructions that appear in front of you to complete the procedure of reconfirmation.

One thing that you have to keep in mind is to reconfirm your grant application every 3 months so that the agency gets to know that you still need the grant and qualify for it.
